Oslo Popmusic Museum

* fire etasjer med utstillinger, opplevelser og dypdykk i norsk musikkhistorie
* faste installasjoner med instrumenter, avspillingsutstyr og historiske bilder
* musikkbibliotek og platebar
* titusener av bilder, låter, videoer, intervjuer og sjeldne liveopptak
* regelmessige temakvelder og konsertopplevelser
* seminarrom, kafé, kinosal og utleielokaler
* restaurant, uteservering, kino og livescener
This is a group project with me and Bilal C
First consepts
We had a brainstorm on concepts by thinking about what kind of sensors we would like to use.

Choice of consept
We ended up with two consepts we wanted to look deper into:
1) -The mirror game
This is a game primarily made for two players either competing against each other or cooperating to score points together.
The players will be standing on each side of a glass screen facing each other. The glass should be multi-input touch sensitive. Graphics on the screen indicate where the players are supposed to touch with their hands. This will work more or less like a kind of rhythm game ala Guitar Hero or Rock Band, but the fact that the players are facing each other and interacting physically together on one screen will hopefully create new and interesting opportunities. The players may for instance be required to quickly touch the screen at certain spots at the same time to score points. It is of course essential that the players should be able to see each other through the transparent screen and also graphics which might have reduced opacity for see-through capabilities.
2) – The Piggybank
The idea here evolved to be more of a music composing tool. The animals on the picture are changed into balls, that represent a animal or musical sound that compose music and beats in a roller coaster like arena.
Final concept
After looking at what challenges we want to work with on this project, where idea 1 is more of a challenge on the aestetics and interaction, and idea 2 is physics music beat composing, we decided to go for idea 1 – “The mirror game”.
